This is me reading a list of numbers to type in to create a sonic effect on my computer. (think -514. 0001. ) i first reversed it and added reverb to it and reversed it again. Hi, i recorded this sound especially because i couldn't find any good quality keyboard typing sounds. I used my kit (zoom h5 and rode videomic pro) to capture the sound while my friend was typing. I used the microphone from 15-20 cm far from the soubject and the room was small (around 15sqm), so reverb wasn't an issue. If any of these sounds are helpful for you, you can always donate to empower the community.

Typing (real words!) on a kinesis advantage keyboard with cherry mx brown mechanical switches. Recorded at my desk with rode procaster, triton fethead, focusrite scarlett 2i2 into audacity. Untreated room (hence dynamic mic) but noise remoived with audacity. I needed this for my own purposes so i thought i'd upload it. I hope someone finds it useful :).

I typed quite slow in the beginning if you need to edit out and synch with your footage, if you just want typing sound in the background i think the best is in the end of the clip. The mouse clicking comes later in the clip. I've mixed it a bit but might need more mixing. I've used freesound for 7 years now and i thought i would pay back for all the good sounds that i've used from freesound. More will come <3.

With my new mic i decided to type away all my sorrows and problems, and this was the result (that was a joke, if you couldn't tell lol. ) but yeah, turned out to be quite aggressive so use if you want to portray some internet trolls or whatever floats your boat. Recorded myself typing on our old desktop computer's now garbage keyboard likely over a decade ago with my old nokia e66 smartphone. I then edited this recording yesterday to find out how much i would be able to improve the already decent quality. Inserting a 5. 25-inch floppy disk into a micropolis 1053 i metafloppy floppy-disk drive. That's the sliding sound at the beginning. The second knock-knock type of sound is the press-down-and-hook drive latch being closed. The micropolis 1053 is a two-drives unit for s-100 bus early computers. This sound was recorded on the upper floppy-drive.
